We spent a week on Samos in late June 2026. We rented a car to explore the island and stayed with our friends Maria and Manolis in Leka, near Karlovasi—a small village with a beautiful, leafy central square.
The days passed slowly and pleasantly, following the village’s gentle rhythm. We spent time around the village, visited the horses, and walked along trails through the countryside.
In Vathy, we also met up with a close friend of mine and had the pleasure of attending his daughter’s baptism.
Samos left us with the lasting impression of a beautiful, lush island, where mountains meet the sea and there is always something new to discover.
